I. Limited Off-Limits Client AND Candidate restrictions:
Approximately 30% of your strategic target list – targets that you want to see candidates come from – are typically off-limits to large search firms because of the volume of clients that they represent. And expect that this 30% is cherry-picked to include the best companies since all search firms strive to represent the top companies in every sector, thus diluting the available target list further.

Second, any ONE executive/candidate can only be reserved/presented to ONE search at any ONE time.  Think about how many partners work within the large search firms.  Now calculate how many searches each one has conducted within a 12-month period.  DO THE MATH.  You will never see the very best candidates from a large search firm because they are in all probability already reserved to an existing project or were placed by that firm.

II. Fewer Searches – Personalized Attention:
We are a boutique retainer search firm with large search firm experience which we have applied into a highly personalized boutique model.  In short, we selectively work on fewer searches (with a high percentage of repeat clients), provide a higher “touch” translating into the fact that you, the client, get our attention.

III. No Division of Labor:
Only partners are involved in ALL aspects of our searches. We have no junior people nor do we contract with outside vendors to perform your work. Every aspect of each search is executed by a team of two partners. This puts our extended expertise and passion on BOTH THE FRONT AND BACK ENDS of the search process. This contributes to quicker decision-making and seamless execution.

IV. Communication:
We submit weekly progress reports listing every call made/to be made on each search. This provides accountability, sharing of industry intelligence and eliminates “surprises” on each search. We request weekly conference calls to review the progress reports. Close cooperation with our clients from senior partners who perform each search translates into flawless and transparent execution contributing to quicker success.
